Northern New Jersey ARES continues expanding its digital communications footprint by deploying dual-band Winlink packet RMS gateways across key county emergency operations centers.
Winlink email-over-radio technology allows operators to transmit ICS-213 forms, damage assessment spreadsheets, and shelter reports directly over amateur radio spectrum during commercial outages.
Monthly digital nets test gateway reliability, ensuring operator proficiency when handling emergency digital traffic.
