Northern New Jersey offers rich opportunities for radiosport, from the annual NNJ QSO Party to portable Parks on the Air (POTA) activations across High Point State Park, Delaware Water Gap, and Harriman border state parks.
Operators deploy lightweight HF transceivers, lithium battery packs, and wire antennas, contacting hams worldwide while showcasing NNJ geography.
These activations test portable equipment durability while honing operator contest logging and pileup handling skills.
